WORK

Projects Completed

Volume and Space

This is the first Project that introduced Volume and Space to explain the basic building blocks in Architecture. We used wood dowels with different sizes to clearly define spaces as they are the most minimal architectural elements for creating spaces and volumes. The project has allowed me to explore the relationships of how spaces and volumes work together to clearly express the designer's intent and understanding.

The Creation of Form

Form is one of the basic building blocks in Architecture. Students were to use large sugar cubes and glue them together to create form. The project allowed me to explore the relationships of how form work together to clearly express the designer's intent and understanding.

Circulation

The introduction of circulation is first presented in this project. A good circulation should allow for good flow of traffic from one place to another. The yacht club project has allowed to future my study on circulation, space path relationships, spatial relationships, thresholds, and scale.

Hierarchy

The principle of hierarchy is implied in almost all architectural compositions. Hierarchy can be used by a difference of size, shape, and/or color to give an element a more importance in comparison with other elements.

Sustainable Garden

We are assigned to design an outdoor furniture/raised bed for a sustainable garden on Farmingdale State College. The garden is part of the department of Urban Horticulture’s teaching garden, and it is used for production, cultivation, education, and various events.

Defining Space with Planes

This was a great project understand how planes can be used to create spaces within architecture. As a simple architectural element, planes can show space within a space, space abutting a space, and space overlapping a space.
